Below are some of our reviews on Tripadvisor.
I was the stag on one of the Celtic Adventure stag packages. So this was easily the best day I’ve had in a long while. Beautiful scenery canoeing down the Boyne over weirs and white water. Followed by Airsoft (like paintball except without the hassle of paint on your goggles). Finished off with BBQ in the great outdoors.
If that sounds more like a family vacation then a stag…you weren’t there man. There was either a look of mischief or menace in our tour provider’s eye when he identified me as the stag. The overalls I had to wear for the Airsoft might as well have had a target painted on them!
Great craic. Professional organisation. Despite numerous trips out of the canoe and into the water it was utterly safe. There were multiple guides with us on the river. The Airsoft location (complete with functioning tank!!) was awesome and again, just professionally run. Will be going back again for sure.
A group of 9 of us (aged in our twenties) went on a full day and night package at Celtic Adventures. The cost of the package was €125 euro for the most action packed day I’ve ever had! From 10am until 9pm the staff kept us entertained with kayaking down a beautiful section of the Boyne river (Andrew is a great Kayaking instructor!), airsoft battles, soccer played on space hoppers, and archery like you’ve never played it before! The package included 2 hot meals on the Saturday and a full Irish on the Sunday morning (we checked out the very interesting War History Museum, which shares the grounds, while waiting for our brekkie!) Our accommodation was a huge marquee tent with army cots so you don’t have to sleep on the ground! At the end of the day, Dave and the other guys lit a campfire for us outside our tent and brought down a big cooler for our beer which we were allowed to bring ourselves (another plus!). I would highly recommend the package for groups like ourselves who are having a bit of a college reunion or for a Hen or Stag who want to want a day out with a difference!
